Danny Cornejo, Jay Class of '05
Danny Cornejo, Class of '05, led Jay to back-to-back District Championships and was the BEST pitcher AND the BEST home-run hitter in the city his senior year.After earning All-District, All-City, and All-State honors, Danny graduated from Jay and took a baseball scholarship at UTSA. He transferred to Texas A&M International where he led the Dust Devils in RBI's, home-runs, and runs scored. In the 2009 season finale vs St. Mary's (San Antonio), Danny had five hits and six RBIs.
